Obituary of Robert O'Dell

Robert L. O’Dell, 84 died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Regency Health Care, Sterling. He worked with his father, who owned and operated O’Dell Plumbing and Heating. Robert was born, August 6, 1931 in Walnut, the son of, Frank (Mike) and Fern (Utts) O’Dell. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He married Vivian Oberle on October 14, 1950, she preceded him in death on June 4, 1966. He later married June Wolf. Survivors include, his wife June Wolf-O’Dell of Sterling, IL; three daughters, Connie (Douglas) Cunningham of Spicewood, TX, Cynthia Cooper of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Jennifer Odell of Des Moines, IA; two sons Robert Scott (Colette) O’Dell of Rockwell, TX, Tracy Edward (Carolina) Odell of San Diego, CA; one sister, Marylou Tarrent of Quad Cities, ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vivian; one son, Tommy Lee O’Dell and one sister, Helen Wallace. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial at a later date will be at Walnut Cemetery.
