Edward A. Crump, 80, of Rock Falls, died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Edward Crump was born April 27, 1936 in Sterling. He married Shirley Storlien on December 7, 1961 in Rock Falls. She preceded him in death on July 17, 2011. Mr. Crump was an adjuster at Northwestern Steel & Wire before his retirement. Ed was a member of the First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Falls. He also served in the U.S. Army. He was a hard worker, loved his family and his grandchildren’s visits, enjoyed fishing, as well as going on sightseeing drives. He is survived by his son, Jeff Crump of Rock Falls; one granddaughter, Rashell Crump and one grandson, Blayne Crump both of Sterling; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Lamb, and one great-grandson Aedyn Serenil both of Sterling. He is also preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, with Reverend Vickie Sauter, church pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Falls officiating. Visitation will also be Wednesday, from 10-11 AM prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. A Memorial has been established in his name.
