Obituary of Theodore H. Hambley

Theodore H. “Ted” Hambley, 72, of Dixon died June 5, 2016, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Ted was born January 6, 1944, in Dixon, the son of Lew and Stana (Absher) Hambley. He was a Cub Scout Leader, 4H member and Lions member in Durand, and also coached Little League. Survivors include one son Matthew Geiseman of Bennington NE; three brothers Robert (Judy) Hambley of Dixon, and Gordon (Becky) Hambley of Broadhead WS, and Virgil Masse of Clinton IA; three sisters Myrtle (Joe) Fiorenza of Rockford, and Rose (Randy) Shelton of Brodhead WS, and Deana Farley of Clinton IA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several Nieces and Nephews. He also was preceded in death by his father Lew Hambley; and two daughters Tina Sue Fischbach, and Lesa Miller. Memorial services will be held Sunday June 26, 2016 at 3PM at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. Visitation will be from 2PM to 3PM. Cremation rites will follow, and burial will take place at a later date. Special thanks to friends and neighbors at Rock River Estates. A memorial has been established.
