Obituary of Robert Beattie

Robert E. Beattie, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Regency Care in Sterling. Robert was born in the son of Eldon and Helen (Tarner) Beattie. He served in the United States Navy. He married Karla Fike on March 15, 1952 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2014. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy (Larry) McWilliams of Cuba City, WI, Sally (Rick) Renner of Sterling, and Jo (Russ Yeager) Bryson of Sterling; one brother, Richard Beattie of Rock Falls; three sisters, Virginia Gustafson of Sterling, Ruth Allen of Owatonna, MN and Beverly (Marvin) Anderson of Walnut; one sister-in-law, Beverly Beattie of Rock Falls; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Samuel Beattie. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
