Obituary of Joyce B. Meyer

JOYCE B. MEYER STERLING-Joyce B. Meyer, 86, died, Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Sterling Pavilion. Joyce was born February 17, 1931 in Sterling, the daughter of George W. and Marie (Wentling) Bell. She married William Koplin in 1954 in Sterling. He preceded her in death in 1970. She then married Frederick Fritz Meyer in November 18, 1978 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2004. Joyce enjoyed crafts, loved her cats, puzzles, reading and embroidering and her family. She was a member of Science Ridge Mennonite Church, Sterling where she also taught sunday school for many years. Joyce worked at Larsons Hardware for many years. Survivors include one sister, June Teachout of Sterling; two brothers, Harlan (Janice) Bell of Rock Falls and Dennis Bell of Fairgrove, MO; one step-daughter, Karen Meyer of Sterling and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mason and Gene Bell. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Science Ridge Mennonite Church, Sterling, with Pastor Arnold Owens, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM Wednesday, prior to services at the church. A memorial has been established to Science Ridge Mennonite Church.
