Obituary of Charles Raymond Brall

CHARLES R. BRALL

ROCK FALLS- Charles R. Brall, 93, formerly of Rock  Falls, died, Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Lasalle Veterans Home, Lasalle.  He was employed at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company for many years, prior to retirement.

Charles was born September 13, 1924 in Geneseo, the son of Raymond and Elizabeth Brall. He married Virginia Smith on April 12, 1947 in Cambridge. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2014.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Lee (Brenda) Brall of Tampico, and Jerry Raymond (Karen) Brall of Milledgeville; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one daughter, Joy Umbower.

           Graveside Services and burial for Charles and Virgina will be held at 10 AM Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Rock Island National Cemetery, with Ken Madden, officiating.

     A memorial has been established.
