Obituary of George F. Burks

STERLING-George F. Burks Sr., 61 of Sterling, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at CGH Medical Center.

    George was born June 26, 1957 in Sterling, the son of Earl Everett and Patricia (Carew) Burks. He served in the United States Army. He married Angela (Griffith) Burks on March 4, 1978 in Sterling.

    Survivors include his wife, Angela of Sterling; two sons, Christopher M. Burks of Morrison,  George F. Jr. ( Melessa) Burks; two sisters Roberta (Bill) Dean of Sterling and LuAnne (Russ) Spencer of Sterling; three brothers, Robert (Barb) Burks, WiIliam Burks and Kevin (Rhonda) Burks, all of Sterling; one sister-in-law Brandi Burks of Sterling.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Timothy Burks.

    Memorial Service will be held at 7PM Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling, with Dalmus Meeks, officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday, prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded.

   Arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.

   A memorial has been established.
