Obituary of Beverly Zarr

Beverly "Jean" Zarr, 86, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Polo Rehabilitation after a short illness. She was a prior resident of Parkway Center, Sterling for seven years. Jean was born August 30, 1926 in Sterling to Adam Edward and Edna Marie Erisman Schott. A 1944 graduate of Dixon High School, Jean attended Scovill Schools. She married Gilbert L. Zarr on November 26, 1949 in Sterling. Jean was a homemaker, a talented musician, and a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include one sister, Marjorie Langham, California, two sister-in-laws Frances Schott ,Dixon, Ruth(Glenn Jr.) Schutt, Sterling, nephews, Greg Langham, California, Gary (Mary) Schott, Indiana, Philip (Sandy) Schott, Iowa, nieces, Gloria Hollinsworth, Florida , Pauline Kolesky, New Milford, Beverly (Paul) Wiemken, Polo, Carolyn Dystrup, New Lenox. Jean was preceded in death by her husband 1999, two brothers Laurence Schott 1993, Lloyd Schott 1996, one niece Sherri Langham 2012 and one nephew Steven Langham. A celebration of Jean's life will be 2 PM Friday, September 14th at Parkway Center Chapel, 1801 Avenue G, Sterling, with Rev. Leo Patterson, St John's Lutheran Church. Private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial has been established. Condolence may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com
