My deepest sympathy to all of your families. It has been my pleasure knowing most of you. I know your mother was a very special woman to have raised such a nice family. I will be thinking of you in these next few days that are so trying to get through. May God be with all of you and comfort you. Just imagine the celebration they are having in Heaven.

To all, My sincerest sympathies to you all. My special message to Martha, you know that your Mom was so very kind to me as I shared your home so many times during our high school days. I was always welcomed which was so important as it allowed me to add to my high school experiences by participating in extra curriculars that would have been impossible for my parents to handle given our "remote" location in Prophetstown. Your Mom defined grace and kindness. It extended so far beyond those high school days when she called me 13 years ago, when she read that my Dad (Daddy as she said) had passed away. It was so comforting because as always, she knew exactly what to say to both sympathize and bring a smile. I recall when I asked her to speak at the GAA Mother Daughter banquet she accepted immediately, I suspect because she knew I needed a speaker. She was actually quite nervous which made me feel badly because that was the last thing I wanted to do. It was clear to me then that she was one who worked and led quietly. She did not want or need the "big" stage to touch the many that she did. She was mighty in her own, very personal way, and my wish for you is that this memory can give you comfort and a smile. Yours, Pam
