Dear Ralph, Laura, Andy, Martha, and family, Please accept my sincere sympathy, love, and prayers at this time of great loss in your family. I was shocked to read of Ralphy's death in The Observer. Know that you all are in my daily prayers during this time of mourning for your dear son, brother, father, and grandfather. I'm sure he's interceding before the throne of God for us together with Dolores and Lisa. I'm sure they welcomed him into heaven with loving arms. Sorry I could not be with you during this sad time in your lives, but know I am with you in spirit and prayer always. May God give you comfort and peace! Love and prayers always, Sister Philomene Reiland

I was filled with shock and sorrow with the passing of Ralphie. We grew up together. I remember the times we shared and how much he loved boxing. Uncle Ralph was so proud of him. Ralphie was very quiet, but yet knew what he wanted in life which made him so special. I really will miss him. Uncle Ralph, Delia, Martha, Laura, and Andy, I'm so sorry for your loss, but his thoughts and memories, you carry, will on live forever. Heather and Angela, I'm very sorry for the both of you, Your Father was an inspiration, no doubt the both of you will carry this on. Please accept my condolences and may God bless all of you in this time of need. John, Debbie, Ryan and Brina Jo Sotelo Huntington Mills, Pa.

Dear Mr. Rios, and beloved family of Ralph: Please accept my most sincere condolences and sorrow for the passing of Ralph from this life. He accomplished so much in so little time on this earth. His daughters should be very proud of this good man. I regret that I did not find out about the passing until Friday evening. I regret not being able to pay my respects to someone I grew up with and shared some funny and hilarious memories. May God bless your family and we will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, John J Castaneda and Family - Cindy, Katie, Ellie and Joey.

To Ralph's Family I just wanted to share a poem with you all! I lost a brother who was a pipefitter out of the old Davenport local. He was 43 and taken from us too young just like Ralph! It kind of explains how i feel about all this. It's called "The Plan of The Master Weaver" My life is but a weaving Between The Lord and Me, I may not choose the colors, He knows what they should be; for he can view the pattern, Upon the upper side While i can see it only On this, the under side. Sometimes he Weaveth Sorrow, Which seemeth strange to me; But i will trust his judgment, and work on faithfully; Tis he who fills the shuttle, And he knows what is best,So i shall weave in earnest,Leaving to Him the rest. Not till the loom is silent And the shuttles cease to fly Shall God unroll the canvas And explain the reasons why- The Dark threads are as needed, In the Weaver's skillful hand As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned! I hope this helps you maybe a little in your time of sorrow.Bless you all
